Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil [calamity], to give you an expected [future and hope] end—Jeremiah 29:11.

Have you ever thought, I don’t think I can take this anymore? Well, if you have, you’re not alone, and if you haven’t, keep living, and you will.

Challenges, disappointments, and frustration come to believers and nonbelievers. The outcome depends on who we place our faith in. When we try to handle the situations ourselves, we get frustrated because some things that come into our lives, money or education, can’t get us out of it.

The Adversary will tell you you’re down for the last count, you’ve lost the battle, but the fight is on until God says you have lost. With God on your side, you will never lose a battle, even though it may seem like you’re losing.

If you don’t know who your God is and what He can do, you will feel intimidated by what you’re going through. But when you have a relationship with God, you know that God is with you and within your being. He said He would never leave you or forsake you. God is not a liar. What He says, He will do. He keeps His promises!

Imagine Joseph, a seventeen-year-old boy, hated by his brothers because they saw that their father loved Joseph more than them. One day, they stripped Joseph of his colorful tunic and threw him in a pit. After being thrown into the pit, he was sold to Midianites merchantmen. The Midianites sold him to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. Potiphar’s wife lied on Joseph and said he tried to rape her because he wouldn’t commit adultery with her. Joseph was thrown into jail.

Joseph is trying to serve God to the best of his abilities, and everything is happening to him. Where was God when all this was happening? God was always there, watching and listening to see what Joseph would do. God is everywhere at the same time; He’s omnipresent. Joseph could have gotten angry with God and blamed Him for everything he was going through, but instead, Joseph kept serving God, being an example of a child of God amid his enemies.

Joseph had faith in God, not what he saw or felt. God brought Joseph from prison into the palace and exalted him from a slave to the Governor of Egypt, Pharaoh’s righthand man. God did it for Joseph, and He can do it for you. God does not have certain people He blesses, and others He looks over. Everything written in the Bible is an example for Christians to learn from.

If God has brought you out of something once before, he is the same God who can bring you out of whatever you’re going through. Past experiences should bring about faith. God does not change, and nothing is too big for God to handle.

Face the reality of what you’re going through, but bring God into your reality to bring about victory and the supernatural.
