According as His divine power hath given unto us all thing that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue – 2nd Peter 1:3.
New converts are looking for churches where they can be nourished and fed the Word of God. You see, you can have the experience of salvation and receive a new heart but still, miss the experience of walking into your spiritual destiny, your spiritual inheritance, the portion that is supposed to be implanted in your heart.
After you receive a new heart, you must continually feed that heart with the Word of God. Receiving your spiritual inheritance is an ongoing process. Every new convert must go through the growing process, which is similar to the growth of a baby.
When a baby is first born, it sleeps a lot. Gradually, it begins to distinguish between night and day. The baby doesn’t continue to be an infant; it grows into a toddler, adolescent, preteen, teenager, young adult, middle-aged adult, and senior citizen. This is the same baby but has gone through different growth stages.
Just as a baby grows, Christians are supposed to grow spiritually. You can miss out on all He has for you if you try to diminish the experience by accepting it as a one-time event. Just as you need daily nourishment to keep your physical body alive, you need to receive your daily spiritual portion from your Father to reach your full potential in Jesus Christ.
You must be in the church God has assigned spiritual parents to minister to you for spiritual growth. You can’t grow spiritually by staying at home and attending church every now and then. (Those planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing—Psalm 92:13). Spiritual growth comes by having the right spiritual parents and being attentive to being around other believers.
The purpose of the church and the spiritual positions God and the pastor have placed in it is to assist with your spiritual growth by equipping you to grow into a mature saint. The pandemic caused many churches to close their doors for about two and a half years, and once they re-opened, people continued to stay home and watch on the phone, computers, or television. The Bible admonishes Christians not to forsake themselves from the church.
The Father wants us to grow into the image of His Son. He wants Christians to be united in whatever denomination they join. God uses His people to minister by His Spirit to others. He wants to see the Fruit of the Spirit manifested through you, as well as the gifts of the Spirit.
People are hurting and afraid of all that is happening in the world, and Christians are the ones God will use to minister to them. God has placed gifts and talents in you to bless others. You don’t need a spiritual position or title; all you need is to be subject to God’s instructions.
Your spiritual connection with the Father will bless you and make you a blessing to others. Because you are a daughter of God, He will open doors that have been closed. He will give you the desires of your heart because He has given you a new heart, a heart that is yielded and willing to be used for His glory!
You will be unstoppable as you continue to seek God and His will for your life! There is nothing you can’t do or accomplish when you have the Father on your side.
