And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought to always to pray, and not to faint [lose heart] – Luke 18:1.
Challenges come, Satan attacks, and life brings trouble; as Christian women, you have a spiritual weapon that will defeat whatever comes into your life and it’s through prayer.
We can’t always go to the pastor or even tell a friend about some things we go through. We hold the frustration, and hurt in our hearts and spirits; this is why you find mean Christians because of what they are going through or have gone through.
We can’t hold stuff in and don’t think it will affect us, and as it affects us, we affect others through our actions and words. Whether you are a Christian or non-Christian you will sometimes be lied to and lied on, rejected, talked about, and misunderstood. Are you going to pray about it or try to handle things yourself?
When we try to handle things ourselves, we usually make them worse, because we do it from our emotions. Our emotions aren’t Christian nor our tongue unless we have surrendered it to the Holy Spirit.
When you pray about it rather than trying to defend it; God will give you what is the underlying cause of what you’re going through and how to handle it. This is why the Scriptures admonish us to live in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Prayer is powerful and it changes things, most of all it will change you to mature in Christianity. When you profess to be a Christian your life is on display. People are watching you even if you don’t think they are. When things occur in your life, pray about them and stop talking about them. Rather than talking about the problem, place prayer on the problem.
If prayer didn’t work Jesus never would have told us to pray. When we pray, Jesus takes our prayer requests and brings them before the Father. The Father hears the prayer, and because of the Son and our sonship the Father and the angels get busy working on our behalf.
When you don’t know what to do, PRAY!
