And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught (anything) against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive you your trespasses – Mark 11:25-26.

Jesus teaches His followers how to receive forgiveness from the Father. He has not instructed the believers to do something that they can’t do if they desire to. Satan influences people not to forgive when Jesus is instructing them to forgive. Unforgiveness will keep one in bondage and also make them not receive the blessings of the Father.

The majority of the time when people fail to receive their healing or answers to their prayers, it’s usually due to the lack of knowledge of God’s Word, and unforgiveness. Unforgiveness will cause one not to receive healing as well as not having their prayers answered. Jesus admonished the believers that if they want to receive from the Father, they must forgive.

Not only will unforgiveness hinder our healing and prayers being answered, but it will also hinder our faith. It’s so easy sometimes to slip into unforgiveness and get bitter toward people who have wronged us. Unforgiveness is a bondage that Satan holds a lot of believers in and they’re not aware or they feel they have the right to not forgive.

We can be faithful in attending church, giving our tithes and offerings, and living the best as we can to adhere to the Word of God, but if we dismiss the instructions for forgiving others as we desire our Father to forgive us of all of the actions we do as committed Christians don’t mean anything if we’re holding offenses and unforgiveness. If we’re not forgiving as God forgives when we keep remembering and reminding people that what they did was wrong, we’re just as wrong as they are because we’re not following the instructions Jesus has given us.

God has your best interest at heart, it is His will to bless you with answered prayers and healing, but He will never go against the Word He has instructed for those who believe to follow. If we want His blessings then we have to follow His instructions. The Bible says “How can two walk together unless they agree”, if we’re agreeing to not forgive then we agree with Satan. If we choose to forgive then we’re agreeing with God’s Word, and that is yes, and Amen I will follow the instructions, Jesus has given.

We will never forget when people have wronged us because our memory stores, actions, and words like a computer, but when we can remember or talk about it and anger or hurt does not surface then we have truly forgiven. We all have wronged someone either in actions or words, but when we’re being honest to ourselves, and admit to our wrong, we were not walking in love, or compassion towards someone, then we receive help from the Father, but if we ignore it, we can’t receive the help we need from the Father and Satan has us in bondage, and he desires to keep you there.

Self-examination is always good, rather than trying to check someone else faults and wrongs. God’s love towards us is unconditional and He wants us to love unconditionally toward all people. When prayers have not been answered, if you have not received the healing you’ve been praying for, examine yourself to see if you’re holding offense and unforgiveness.
