Women play many roles, thank God for the grace He has given women to function in different roles, but sometimes it can be tiring when you don’t make time for yourself.

As wives and mothers women place themselves last; because they want to make sure their family is well taken care of. All this is good, but women need some “me time”, if they want to be able to continue to take care and provide for their loved ones.

When we become tired and don’t get the proper rest, we need it effects us mental, emotionally as well as physically. Think about it this way if you wear yourself out, whose going to take care of you and your family?

Don’t let the thought come to your mind that you’re not taking care of your family when you rest. You can provide better for your family when you have the proper rest. Tiredness can also cause anxiety, restless sleep.

Schedule yourself in your daily planning; make God the first person you talk to in the morning. If you schedule to be with Him, He will make sure everything you need to do for that day will be done. He will strengthen you in your mind, emotions and body.

Rest will make you more sensitive to His guiding you throughout the day. He will give you wisdom to accomplish every task. Sometimes sickness attacks our body because of not having the proper rest and sleep. God has created the body to heal itself, but it has to get the proper nutrition, rest and sleep.

While planning, keep in mind that you don’t have to try to accomplish everything in one day; stop rushing; whatever you didn’t get done today, can be accomplish the following day. When well rested, you’re not easily angered, or get offended.

Sleep also plays an important role; it’s good to get eight hours, but if not, at least seven. Sleeping assist with the healing process. Proper rest and sleep will keep us from different diseases, mental and emotional issues.

Rest is important, give your mind, and body the proper rest it needs to be healthy, physically, mentally and emotionally.
