Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee Isaiah 26:3.
With all that is going on in the world, it’s hard for some to find peace. Some try to find peace in a pill, alcohol or drugs, but there is a peace that God gives that will not harm you.
Nothing is going on in the world that God does not know about; nothing takes Him by surprise. He’s not in heaven, ringing His fingers, wondering what He must do. Everything that is going on in the world, He knew about it before it took place.
Even though many don’t believe in God or worship other gods, it does not take away from who He is! God has always taken care of His people, and He will continue to do so until they take their last breath. To have the peace of God, one must know Him (Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls – Matthew 11:28-29). When you know someone, you place your trust in them.
There may be many storms in your life, but you have someone who can carry you through the storms of life. God never promised our lives would be that of a bed of roses, but He warned us that we would have tribulations.
We have to learn to live in the Spirit, meaning everything we feel and see with our natural senses is temporal (While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal – 2nd Corinthians 4:18). God allow storms, but He does allow the storms to destroy us.
Storms come when we’re disobedient to the Word of God, and they come when God is taking us into a different realm of the Spirit, or He’s trying to get our attention in a certain area or matter. If you’re Christian, know that Jesus is on board. He will speak to the storm, or He will take you through the storm without casualties.
If we can place our trust in humans, surely we can place our trust in the one who created everything and is in control of everything.
