Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid – John 14:27.
Peace is something everyone desires; some try to get peace through drugs, alcohol, food, and sometimes with people, whatever device they think would bring them peace.
Inner peace comes from Jesus; the peace He gives stays with you no matter what is happening around you. His peace causes you not to sin against God and His Word.
This peace can’t be bought; it’s a gift from Jesus to whoever desires it. Peace to the storms of life. Peace when life seems to be unbearable. Peace when you have been let go from your job. Peace when you don’t have the money you need.
Peace when your spouse is acting out of character. Peace when your children are rebellious, and the doctor gives you a bad report. Rest in the peace Jesus has given you; don’t allow Satan or the world to steal your peace.
If you have salvation, you should have peace because you know where your help comes from. If you don’t have salvation, you can believe in the Son of God. His salvation is free, and all you have to do is believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins.
Jesus didn’t come into your life for you to fear. He came so that you may have life and have it abundantly. Peace be with you, peace be in your home, peace be in your mind. Peace be in your heart; peace be in your spirit.
Peace with your spouse, your children, your health, your finances, and peace that surpasses all human understanding. This is the peace Jesus gives to those who believe in Him!
