But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord – Genesis 6:8.
Noah was the last pre-Flood patriarch and the builder of the ark that survived the Great Flood. The Bible describes him as a righteous man of obedience and faith.
Sometimes, when we have prayed for a long time and have not received the answer to our prayers, it can be discouraging, but that’s when faith has to kick in. Whether you’re a believer or a non-believer, we all have some type of faith.
Noah was a God-fearing man, meaning he revered God for who He was. His actions and speech were righteous before God. During Noah’s time, the world had become corrupt before God, as it is today. The earth was filled with violence and hatred.
God instructed Noah to build an Ark of gopher wood, and he was to place in the Ark seven animals, male and female, that were clean, and two male and female, that were not cleaned. Can you imagine how Noah may have felt building the Ark, telling those around him that it would rain for forty days and nights when it had never rained and that the earth would be destroyed, and no one believed him?
Because of Noah’s obedience in preparing the Ark, he and his family were the only ones who survived the Flood. God was not only concerned about Noah but also about his family. As we look at everything that is happening in the world, those who have a relationship with God and know His Word know that Jesus may come at any time.
The Ark was a safe place; it was a refugee. Jesus is our Ark, our safe place, and He is concerned about your unsaved loved ones. Continue to pray for them; don’t give up because of their actions and speech. There is no one that God can’t save through His Son.
The more they act out, the more you pray and fast for them. You are the bridge that will bring them to Jesus. Let your light shine before them; allow your lifestyle to be an epistle they can see and read. Don’t give up; that’s what the Adversary wants you to do. You may not see their salvation in your lifetime, but with the prayers and fasting you have done for them, God has not forgotten; just as God remembered Noah, He will remember your prayers for your family.
You may be praying for something other than your family. Never give up; continue to pray until you see the manifestation or until God tells you not now, later, or no.
