Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Model Isolated Praying

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you – Luke 11:9.

If we want our prayers to be answered, we have to continue in that prayer until our prayer has been answered.

So many times, we don’t get our prayers answered because we give up too soon. Faith is continuing to pray until you receive an answer. Some prayers are answered immediately, and there are those that we may have to pray for weeks, months, and sometimes years, but the prayer will be answered if we continue to believe God will answer our prayer.

Jesus wouldn’t have instructed His followers to ask if it wouldn’t be given to them. Sometimes, we hit and miss because we doubt whether God will answer the prayer. Your consistency will determine if your prayer will be answered.

Some stop praying because they are tired of praying for the same thing; others because it’s taking too long, while others stop because they don’t want to put forth the effort. Jesus gave a parable about an unjust judge who didn’t fear God or respect man. A widow came to him asking him to avenge her of her adversary.

The woman kept coming to him asking him the same thing: avenge me of my adversary; after the woman kept coming to him, he finally said because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her because her continually asking troubleth me. Jesus said, “Hear what the unjust judge saith, and shall not God avenge His own elect which cries day and night unto Him”?

We don’t know how long the woman continued to go to the unjust judge, but she didn’t stop because she was on a mission to get herself avenged by her adversary. Your prayer may be your family’s salvation, healing, and deliverance. It seems the more you pray, the worse it gets or they get.

Your prayer may concern your marriage, health, finances, or business. Don’t give up; continue to pray until you receive an answer. Your emotions and Satan will try to influence you to stop praying. Prayers are lifesaving. If you remain steadfast and unmoveable, your prayers will be answered sooner or later, and you will reap the benefit.
