And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind Him, and touched the hem of His garment – Matthew 9:20.
We all have issues at one time or another. They may involve our health, marriage, children, finances, or place of employment, but whatever the issue, if we seek Jesus in these issues, He will always bring healing.
There was a woman who had had an issue of blood for twelve years. She had consulted with doctors and spent all of her money, but they couldn’t heal her. The woman was a walking miracle, with a blood flow that long, she should have been dead.
For twelve years she walked around with this condition, until one day she heard about Jesus coming into that city. Because of her issue, she was not allowed to be in the city or around people. She didn’t care about what people were saying, she needed to see Jesus.
As Jesus was on His way to heal Jarius’s daughter, she came behind Him, saying to herself, “If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be made whole”. As she touched His garment, she was made whole according to her confession.
You may have issues, but there is not an issue you can have that Jesus can’t heal and make whole. He is the God of resurrection, He is the God of reconciliation. He is the God who protects and provides. He is the God that will supply all of your needs.
Don’t be concerned about what people are saying and thinking, you must get to Jesus and tell Him your issues. She had to stoop low on the ground and pass through the crowd in order to get to Jesus. She didn’t mind stooping, she knew she was going to someone who would help her with her issue.
Stop following those who can’t help you with your issue, social media can’t help you. Secular entertainers can’t help you. Your favorite television program can’t help. But when you decide to stop following people and follow Jesus, He’s the One who will help you and deliver you from your issues.
How do you follow Jesus you ask, by prayer, fasting, reading and studying His Word, and applying His Word to your daily life? Issues will come, problems will come, disappointments and hurt will come, but when you follow Jesus, He will provide whatever you need, that is why He said before the Pharisees and Sadducees before Abraham was I AM!
Whatever you need Him to be, He will be that, but you must seek Him, and trust Him. Place your faith in Him and nothing or anyone else. He’s the God who resolves issues!
