For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end – Jeremiah 29:11.
So many times as women, we give ourselves anxiety over what people think of us, and what are they saying about us, but all that matters is what He thinks about us!
Thoughts can bring joy, happiness, sadness, and anger; when we learn how to control our thoughts, we will be less stressed and full of anxiety. God has given us the ability to control our thoughts, we just have to pay attention to what we are thinking.
We should face reality, but we don’t allow reality to bring us into depression, anger, and other emotions. Think about what’s going on in your life, and if you can design a plan of what to do or what not to do, think about it, do it, and go on with life.
It would be good the moment we became Christians there would be no more problems, but it does not work like that. Christianity comes with good and bad times, times when situations arise in our lives that seem to be more than we can bear at the moment. The good thing is that we have the Lord walking along beside us to make sure we get to the other side of the situation.
Nothing takes God by surprise, He’s not sitting in heaven ringing His fingers wondering how that happened, I didn’t see it coming or what to do about it! Whatever it may be, take it to God in prayer and wait for the answer or the deliverance.
God loves you with everlasting love, nothing can turn His love or His plan from you. The majority of the time we get out of the will of God by wanting to do things our way when it is the opposite of what He would have for us. Even when we mess up, we can pray and ask Him to get us out of the mess we have created.
We must always keep in mind that there is a hedge of protection around us, and nothing can penetrate that hedge unless God allows it. When it’s allowed then it’s going to work together for our good if we allow the process.
Stop leaning on your understanding and commit the circumstances and situations to God. When we don’t understand something or don’t have trust all we do is look at the mountain, today, begin to look at the One that created the mountain!
What you’re going through is not in control, God is, allow Him to be the God of your circumstances and situations. Set your thoughts on God and His Word. Make your request known to God by prayer and supplication and you will see that He will work out everything for your good because His thoughts towards you are not evil, but good!
