Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them – Mark 11:24.
Sometimes when we have been through so many challenges, and disappointments it’s hard to believe anything good can happen to us.
Jesus was trying to teach His followers to believe and He’s still doing it today. We can believe in the negative, but for the positive, it’s usually hard to do. Everything that happened in our lives God was not the author of it. Some things happened because we didn’t know better or we ignored the leading of the Lord.
We all have made mistakes and we will continue to make mistakes when we try to do things our way and not consult with the Father. God has a listening ear, and He knows what you need, but He’s waiting for you to ask Him.
Take for instance your children, most of the time you know what your children will ask for before they ask you. Rather than giving it to them before they ask, you wait for them to ask you. Well, our heavenly Father is waiting for you to ask and when you ask believe that He will hear and answer the prayer.
Jesus never would have told us to ask if the Father wasn’t going to answer the prayer. We don’t ask for anything that is contrary to God’s Word or His character. God wants your family saved, He wants your marriage healed. He wants you to be successful both naturally and spiritually. He wants you to be healed either in this world or when you enter heaven’s gates.
God is not sitting around waiting on you to make mistakes, He’s not there waiting to discipline you. He’s waiting to hear you ask Him for what you need and desire. Some prayers will be answered instantaneously and some we have to wait on.
Don’t give up on what you have asked God for, be in expectation what you have prayed for will be answered in His timing. His timing is not our timing. God cares for you, He’s concerned about what you are concerned about. He’s willing to lead and guide you through this life journey when you place and trust Him.
Invite Him in your life, situations, and circumstances, you can never go wrong with the Lord on your side. You’ve believed in those who couldn’t solve your problems or help with your problems, believe in the One that can make the impossible; possible.
