Peace I leave with you, My peace, I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid – John 14:27.

Peace is hard to obtain when we don’t understand that the Lord does not want His people to be tormented in their minds and hearts when He has given them His peace.

We must believe God’s Word to receive from His Word. When you received salvation, you believed Jesus died for your sins and reconciled you to the Father. That’s the same way you have to believe to receive His peace.

Satan will bombard your mind and thoughts with everything to keep you from receiving that peace. I’m not saying don’t face reality, I’m saying face it knowing that the Lord is with you and whatever it is that you need He will supply the need.

This is the time of season when people are missing their loved ones that has died, rather than dwelling on the regret, remember all the years and wonderful memories you had together. You may be struggling with your finances and you don’t have the finances to purchase Christmas gifts. Christmas is to be celebrated with the thankfulness of our Lord and Savior’s birth. It’s not about how many gifts when can give or receive!

Allow the peace of God to rest in your mind and heart, He knows your heart, He knows that if you were able you would buy as many gifts as you could. Think about your immediate family, and purchase what comes from your heart and not about how large or expensive it should be. What comes from the heart reaches the heart.

In difficult times, ask God to allow His peace to rest in your mind and heart. What you need from God, you have to ask for it and then accept it in faith. God will always answer prayers that are according to His will. He wants you to have peace and joy.

Rather than speaking negative words, speak positive words, “I have the peace of God”, as you continue to confess God’s Word, His Word will begin to manifest in you!
