Christians are to be Christlike; that’s what Christian means. They are to be separated from the actions of the world.
To be a Christian woman is an honor, one who is intentionally seeking to please God. Many profess to be Christians, but when you look at their lifestyle, it does not align with God’s Word. Being a Christian woman is not easy when you’re still trying to please people.
To be the woman God has called you to be means denying yourself to submit to His will and purpose for your life. If you seek to please God, there will be obstacles placed by Satan and others who want to see you fail in your Christian walk.
As a Christian woman, you may have times when you will be lonely because those who are not seeking God or non-believers will not be as close as they once were, unless you’re still doing what they’re doing. True Christianity is not attending church, singing in the choir, ushering, or holding other positions in the church; it’s a disciplined lifestyle when no one is around, doing what is right in the eyes of God.
To be a Christian and enjoy it, you must fall in love with Jesus. When you do this, everything comes second place. A consistent prayer life must be established; if not, you will find yourself falling back to your old lifestyle, distant from God, and wondering how you got so far from Him.
Daily prayer accompanied by reading your Bible will build armor against the adversary of your soul. Take time not only to read the Bible, but also to study it, which will open your spiritual eyes to what God is saying in His Word, about Him, and what is required of you as a Christian woman.
As you commit yourself to prayer and to reading the Bible, you will begin to see a spiritual change in your desire. Things you used to watch and listen to will no longer be on your mind. The closer you get to God, the more you will begin to pull off the desires of the world.
This generation needs to see young, middle-aged, and senior women living godly lives, empowered by the power of God, to help others who are struggling in their Christian walk. There is a difference between those who profess to be Christians and those who have the power of God manifesting through them.
It’s better to please God than to please yourself and others. When you please God, He blesses you with peace, no matter what’s going on around you. You know for sure that God will supply every need, and He will also give you your heart’s desire because your heart is now the heart of God. You will only be desiring the things that align with God’s principles.
If you have not felt His presence or heard His voice, keep seeking Him, and you will come into His presence, and there is nothing like being in His presence or hearing His voice. Don’t just profess to be a Christian, be an example!
