Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Bible Group Praying Together

For death is come up into our windows, and is entered into our palaces, to cut off the children from without, and the young men from the streets – Jeremiah 9:21.

Disobedience brings God’s judgment. God has not changed, and neither has His Word. What He meant in the Old Testament means the same in the New Testament.

America used to be a nation that reverenced God; they prayed and lived by God’s commandments. Love God, and love your neighbor. Our neighbors are not just those who live next door to us but people worldwide.

Because this nation once loved God and reverenced Him, it was a blessed and prosperous nation. When our lawmakers began to pass laws against the principles of God, it brought about a reproach against the nation (Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people – Proverbs 14:23.

Laws were passed to take prayer out of school; prayer was stopped, guns came in, and molestation by some of the teachers who should have been protecting our children. Our children were taught to pray; they were taught to honor God and to have respect for one another. Bullying was not in school because it was not tolerated. Teachers knew their students and what was happening in their classes.

Children are taught about sex and its preference in first and second grade. Because of such teaching, students are confused, depressed, and suppressed, committing suicide. All this was not happening when prayer was in school.

Beware of what is being taught to your children; teach your children at home how to pray. Pray for your children before they leave for school, and cover them in prayer throughout the day; prayer is their protection from gun violence, as well as teaching that goes against the principles of God.

Death is in our neighborhoods; our children, young women, and men are being gunned down. It’s not safe to stand on the porch without bullets flying. Protests and walk-a-thons are not going to destroy the spirit of death and violence in our cities or our neighborhoods.

Righteousness and prayer are what going to keep us and our children safe. Prayer is needed in the homes. God hates sin, not the person, but the actions. Prayer is needed for people’s lives to be changed.

Protection is not upon the children because people aren’t praying because they believe politicians will solve the problem. The problem is sin, and it can only be dealt with by confessing our sins, asking for forgiveness, and covering this nation with prayer on a daily basis.

Prayer will not only change what is going on, but it will also change us to desire the things of God and forsake the influence of the world. Our world leaders need prayer; they need guidance and hearts that will have the people’s best interests at heart.

God does not do anything until people begin to pray. Prayer is not a once-a-month thing, but it should be daily if we want to see changes in our world government, neighborhoods, and our children’s protection. As we pray, we must also live according to God’s instructions for Christians if we want our prayers to be answered.

Jerusalem and Judah had forsaken God’s commandments, and the discipline of God was upon that nation. God’s instructions for that nation were for them to call for the mourning women and the cunning women (Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and send for cunning women, that they may come – Jeremiah 9:17). Women that know their God can get a prayer through to God. They don’t mind staying in their prayer closet until they get a release in the Spirit. They don’t mind missing their favorite television program to meet with God. They don’t mind missing meals by fasting to get prayer requests answered.

Nothing is going to change the situations that are going on in our cities, states, nations, and communities, but prayer and submission to God! It’s time to seek God with sincerity and persistence.

Thank God for our men, but they will not be as persistent in prayer as women. Make a list of things you see and know that need prayer, and continue to pray until you receive a breakthrough for God to break out in our neighborhoods, cities, states, and nations!

God listens for prayers, and He moves when He hears them!
