Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire when you pray believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them – Mark 11:24.

Prayer is our connection to God, it’s our strength and it builds our faith. So many professing Christians don’t have a prayer scheduled. They schedule everything else, but they will not spend time with God, and they wonder while they can’t have dominion over their fleshly desires.

Prayer is essential if we want to be in union with God. God does not want us coming to Him only when we’re in need of something. God has emotions just like we do, if He didn’t, He wouldn’t get angry! When we pray we’re communicating with our Heavenly Father. He wants to hear from you on a regular basis.

How would you feel when the only time your child comes to you is when they need something? Well, God feels the same way. Prayer strengthens us in our faith, it keeps us focused on the things of God, and most of all, it keeps us connected to God. It helps us to be sensitive to His Spirit and His voice. Prayer assists us in knowing what is right and what is wrong according to God’s principles.

Prayer assists us in not falling into sin, and if we do sin, we will not stay there because we want to be reconnected to our Father. As Christian women, we can’t practice sin and think we are connected to God because were not. God hates sin, He doesn’t hate the person, but He hates the sin they commit, and prayerless is a sin.

I admonish you as a Christian woman, take time to pray. Pray for your spouse, children, your neighborhood. Things you hear on the News. It’s always something to pray about, stay connected to the One that can keep you safe and the One that has your life and destiny in His hands!
