Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it – Ephesians 5:25.
Husbands, a male figure should love his wife as Christ loved the church. The Bible instructs husbands to love, honor, and respect their wives.
When someone is in love, that love will never die. Most marriages lose closeness because of busy schedules between spouses. To protect the marriage, there must be time spent together. No matter how long you have been married, you will always learn something different about your spouse when you spend quality time with them.
If you’re not receiving love from your spouse, don’t give up on them, don’t separate or file for a divorce unless God gives you instructions to do so. There are times God will permit you to do so, but if He does not, pray and wait on God.
Marriage can be a challenge, especially when one is a believer, and the other isn’t. Pray for your spouse and keep yourself saturated with God’s Word in your waiting for your spouse’s salvation as well as for your marriage.
Don’t fight your spouse, but fight the spirit that controls them, and you can only do that by the Spirit of God living within you. If you’re living a hypocritical life, you will not have authority over the spirit controlling them.
Show your spouse love and kindness, and when you do so, you are showing them the love God has for them, and you will draw them to both God and you through lovingkindness. There is nothing to hard or greater than God. Either you’re going to believe God’s Word, or you’re going to believe it’s a lie.
Marriage was ordained by God; His promised there is no good thing He would uphold from them that walk upright before Him. Your husband is your good thing, even if it does not seem like it right now. You married according to God’s Word, and God will bless your marriage.
Pray for your spouse, while you’re praying for them, pray for yourself to stand and not faint in your time of waiting. Get your mind off what they’re doing or not doing, focus on God and His Word of promises. Although God sees what you’re going through, tell Him what you’re going through. When you do this, you’re inviting Him into the situation.
Your marriage can be all that you want it to be when you trust God and love your spouse.
