Lift up your heads, O ye gates, and be ye lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in – Psalm 24:7.

Many women may not be walking around with their heads down, but in their hearts and spirits, they bow because of something someone said or how someone made them feel.

You don’t need anyone to authenticate you; you don’t have to make yourself look or talk like someone else. God has branded you; He has you in the palm of His hands. When you know someone is deliberately trying to make you feel less than you are, pray for the individual because they don’t know better, and if they did know better, they still need prayer because one day what they dished out will come back to them and it’s not going to come the same way they dished it out.

Women have to go through enough without us adding to them our foolishness. We often discard people because of our lack of knowing who they are. When that thought comes to mind, we must trash it and pray immediately.

If you dwell on a thought long enough, it will become an action, and you will dislike someone who has never done anything to you. Don’t be an accuser of someone you don’t know. Ask yourself why you feel the way you do about the person, and most of the time, you will find yourself knowing you have no reason to feel the way you do.

Our emotions and eyes will show us stuff that is the opposite of what is going on. Whether in your home, place of employment, or church. We place ourselves in bondage when we allow people to dictate to us what they think or want us to be.

Many have left the Christian community because of how they were treated by other sisters in the church. Don’t you know we will have to answer to God when we hurt someone? Make others feel welcome being around you.

You never know what that person may be going through; smile at them and ask how they are doing. It can do much good to them and you because you’re showing yourself as friendly and not approachable. The next time your emotions dictate to you, shut it down with a prayer!
