I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me – Philippians 4:13.

In today’s uncertain world, many of us are under a lot of pressure, the way we react to that pressure determines whether we will succeed or fail.

When you are under pressure, first face reality then focus on God’s Word (Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee – Isaiah 26:3). No matter what we’re facing in life if we place our trust in God, He will keep His promise and keep us in perfect peace while He’s working things out for us. The problem is the majority of the time when the pressure hits us the first thing we say “What I’m Going to Do”, rather than saying, God here is the problem, what are you going to do?

You see God already knows what’s going on with you, He wants to see if you will rely on Him or rely on your abilities. When we place ourselves first, He steps back and allows us to try to fix it; because we’re saying “God I Got This”, but in reality the pressure is overcoming you instead of you overcoming pressure.

When we don’t have a relationship with the Father, we will fall into the influence of Satan to fear, but when we have a relationship with the Father, we know within ourselves there is nothing He will not do for us to bring the peace in our lives that He has promised. He will supply our needs as He is our Father, it’s His responsibility to make sure we’re well taken care of.

Focusing on the problem won’t do you any good, in fact, the more you think about the problem, the weaker your faith becomes. To rise above the pressure, you have to think about the right things. You must replace negative thoughts with good, positive thoughts such as ” No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly before Him, Ask and it shall be given, But my God shall supply of all our needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.

In life, we will have adversity, but we don’t have to allow adversity to get the best of us when we know where our help comes from. What is impossible for you, is possible with God, place your faith in God and not in your pressure or problem.

When we’re under pressure, if we don’t control our thoughts all types of emotions will begin to surface; anxiety, stress, fear, anger, self-pity. These are thoughts that will kill faith, and that’s what the Adversary wants. If you lose faith you will not receive anything from God, nothing from nothing brings nothing. If you have faith of a mustard seed, you can move mountains in your life, use that mustard seed faith to receive what you need from the Father. It’s the Father’s pleasure to give you joy and peace.
