Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Love Shape Text Letter

Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you – 1st Peter 5:7.

In life, we will encounter hurt, pain, disappointments, and sorrow. However, God knows everything we go through and can make it work together for our good.

Joseph is the eleventh son of Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, and the oldest of Rachel, Jacob’s favored wife. Jacob’s favoritism for Joseph may be explained by the special love he had for Joseph’s mother. Israel gave Joseph a robe with a distinctive color or design.

When the brothers saw that their father loved Joseph more than them, they began to hate him. One day, Israel sent Joseph to look for his brothers; as they saw him coming, they plotted against him. They sold him into slavery to a passing caravan of Ishmaelites.

Joseph was seventeen years old when he went into slavery. Joseph was brought to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guards, bought him from the Ishmaelites. Joseph worked in Potiphar’s house, and the Lord was him. The Lord was with Joseph, indicating that God cared for, protected, and blessed Joseph. Joseph occupied a very high position as a slave. He lived and worked in his master’s house.

God gave Joseph favor with Potiphar, and he made him overseer over his house and all that he had placed in his hands. The Lord blessed Potiphar’s house because of Joseph. After being there for a while, Potiphar’s wife tried to seduce him, but Joseph was dedicated to God and to Potiphar. She grabbed him by his garment, saying lie with me. Joseph ran and left his garment in her hands.

She lied and said Joseph tried to rape her; Joseph was placed in prison. While in prison, the Lord was with him and showed him mercy, and gave him favor with the keeper of the prison. The keeper of the prison made him overseer of the prisoners.

Two prisoners had a dream, and Joseph gave them the interpretation. The butler was restored to his position, but the chief baker was hunged. It was just the way Joseph interpreted the dream. Joseph had asked the butler to remember him, but he didn’t until Pharaoh had a dream that needed to be interpreted.

Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream, and he was promoted from the prison to the castle. He became Pharaoh’s prime minister and became the governor of Egypt. Pharaoh made Joseph ruler of his house and all of Egypt. Pharaoh gave Joseph his signet ring indicating authority.

Just like Joseph, you may have been forsaken by your spouse or family. You may have or are in an emotional prison, but the Lord is there to walk you to the exit of the pain and hurt. Yes, you may be going through something, but God has not forgotten you, He’s with you in whatever you going through. He promised that He would never leave or forsake you.

Christian living causes a godly lifestyle; some things we go through is purifying our thoughts, heart, spirit as well our bodies. God does not want us to act and think like the world. He has separated us for Himself, and He wants a clean bride, spirit, soul, and body.

Remember, God keeps His promises. You have someone helping you to get to your next level, whether it’s naturally or spiritually. You can rest in Him, trust in the One who made the promise, and not what you’re feeling or going through. Sometimes, the only time we pray is when we are in pain or in crisis; if that is the case, the Father will continue to allow us to have the pain and crisis; whatever makes you go to Him is what He will continue to allow until we have a mindset to pray without anything happening.

Every stumbling block, God got it; every pain and hurt, God got it! Financial problems: God got this! Your marriage and your children, God got it! Trouble with your supervisor or co-workers, God got it! Whatever you need, God got it!
