Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Purpose Dictionary Definition Word Objective Mission Deliberate

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus – Philippians 3:14.

Did you know that God called you with a purpose for both the natural and the spiritual? He didn’t call you to sit idly, nor do He want you to be so busy that you can’t hear His voice and follow His instructions.

When God calls us, He calls us with a purpose. He does not call us to fail in life naturally or spiritually. Have you taken the time to look for your calling? Do you know what you have a passion for? Whatever your passion is, that is your calling.

Some have been called to work in the work field, such as school teachers, computer operators, lawyers, doctors, and healthcare workers. Some have been called to work in the ministry; whatever is your calling, when you answer the call of God, you should have every intention of succeeding. Don’t even entertain the thought of quitting or failing.

Sometimes there will be a struggle to fulfill the purpose, but don’t quit because there’s a struggle. God desires you to succeed in life, but He doesn’t want you to focus so much on your success in this life that you forget He wants you to be successful in your relationship with Him. Becoming rich with the world’s success and poverty in your spirit will cause you not to inherit the kingdom of God.

Just as you make a plan to succeed with your business, education, and career, put the same emphasis on succeeding as a faithful Christian. Did you know when you seek to please God, He will make you successful in this world and the world to come?

Preparation makes success natural, and spiritually, if you don’t prepare, you will not be successful. You must prepare your finances if you want to retire at a certain age. If you want a business, you must prepare yourself. You must prepare and discipline yourself to study and complete the assigned assignments to get a degree in a certain field.

Just because God has called you does not mean you don’t have to prepare to accomplish what He has called you to do. Success comes with preparation, you prepare, and God will give you what you need to accomplish what He has called you for, both natural and spiritual (But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you – Matthew 6:33).
