Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favor of the Lord – Proverbs 18:22.
Women are to beloved, cherished, and cared for by their spouses. God did not give wives to be tramped upon, abused verbally, or physically.
Many women are in abusive relationships or marriages and they stay in them because they don’t feel they have a way out. God did not give you a husband for you to be his door mat. Any form of abuse is wrong in the eyes of God (Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion. and the wife of thy covenant – Malachi 2:14). This is why before marrying someone, you need to know them rather than just for sexual thrills.
Women are being murdered because they allow themselves to stay in the relationship, neither do they receive the protection they should be receiving from the authorities. If you’re in abusive relationship let someone know.
While dating an abusive person they will give a sign of their character without them knowing if you pay attention to their actions, words, as well as their mannerism. If you’re a woman of God, He will show you the person prior to you saying I do, if you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
God never allows surprises to come upon His people; He will warn them; the problem is many aren’t paying attention to the warnings because they are so in love with the person to never see the signs. It does not matter if the person is a holding a title of a pastor, prophet, evangelist, bishop. They have no rights to abuse their wives.
If you’re in abusive relationship, seek help. Don’t allow anyone to abuse you mentally, verbally, emotionally or physically. If you don’t know how to get in contact with a program that will help you, if you tell someone; they will be able to assist you in contacting the help you need.
Think about your children; you don’t want them to be brought up in a home that could cause them to lose their mother or themselves to be hurt because they’re trying to protect their parents. Abuse should not be tolerated in any form.
If you have a spouse and they are depending on you to do everything, you’re being abused. The woman isn’t supposed to take care of the husband; the husband should be taking care of his wife; unless the husband became sick or unable to work.
Abuse comes in many forms; be aware of who you say I do. Marriage is meant for a lifetime of the spouses unless there is abuse or adultery. Beware aware of who you allow in your life.
