Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Writing Displaying Text Expectations. Word For Strong Belief That Something Will Happen Or Be The Case

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor the west, nor the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another -Psalm 75:6-7.

Expectation is something we look forward to; sometimes, our expectation is not what God has in mind because our expectation does not come to align with His Word for us.

Sometimes we have been through so much difficulty in life that we don’t have an expectation of anything happening to us well. We may not say it, but inwardly we’re thinking it. What we’re thinking in our heart according to the Word of God, so are we (For as he thinketh in his heart, so so is he = Proverbs 23:7). So we need to pay close attention to what we’re thinking.

You may be a non-believer, but it does not stop God’s Word from being effective in your life. His Word is established in heaven and can’t be destroyed because of non-belief. So be careful of what you think and what you say.

Life may have given you some bad blows, but expect things to get better; whether we’re believers or non-believers, life brings disappointment, and Satan brings heartache and shame. In order to get a change, we must expect a change.

When you change your expectations, you will change your attitude. Ben Franklin made a quote, “Blessed is the one who expects nothing, for he shall receive it.” The majority of people get used to average; they get used to second best.

Begin to think outside the box, think about things you want to accomplish, and it is so big you know it will take God to make the impossible possible. Take the limits of God; take the limits off yourself!

When you change your attitude, you change your behavior. William James said, “That which holds our attention determines our actions.” That thing you keep thinking about, the actions will be carried out sooner or later.

Be a listening ear for someone; many women need other women to talk to, and don’t condemn but don’t condone when it’s against God’s principles. After listening, tell them what you’ve been through and how you came, but the circumstances didn’t take you out.

Give them hope; just as you came out, so can they. Testimonies always encourage others; it let them know they aren’t the only ones going through or have been through difficult times and problems.

When you change your behavior, you change your performance. Want to know what’s in your heart? Look at your behavior; there is no better sign of the heart than life. A true test of where a person is going is their behavior.

Unfortunately, most people would rather live with old problems than new solutions. If there’s a problem, there is always a solution. Some would rather be comfortable than correct and would rather stay in a routine than make changes. Even when they know that the changes are going to be better for them.

You have been created with excellence; there is nothing you can’t do when you get a mindset to want better, to do better.
