Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul – Psalm 66:16.
To declare something is to give affirmation; it’s an agreement that it is so. It doesn’t matter what it looks like or feels like; you know that the Lord is on your side, and it’s well, although it may not feel like it.
Sometimes you have to encourage yourself in the Lord. There will be times when you can’t reach your pastor, friend, or relative. These are the times you have to know the Word of God to get your mind, heart, and spirit out of Lo-debar.
Lo-debar is a dry place, a place where you can neither feel God nor hear from Him. The adversary will tell you, “You’ve sinned.” God doesn’t care, or you missed God—something you haven’t done or should be doing.
When you know you have not committed a sin, and you’re living all you know how to please the Lord, you have to go into warfare by speaking the Word of God over your life:
I declare that the Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want. Jesus is the Shepherd and Bishop of my soul. Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me, I will be confident that the Lord is with me and He will never leave me.
I declare that I have a sound mind, my memory is in tack because I have the mind of Christ. I commit my way to the Lord, and He directs my steps. No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly before Him. The blessings of the Lord make rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.
My marriage is blessed and healthy. My children are blessed and obedient. My family and I are in God’s hands, and His thoughts toward me are not evil, but good to bring me and my family to an expected end. I’m more than a conqueror through my Lord and Savior.
The Lord will contend with them that contend with me and will fight against those who fight against me. The Lord is my refuge; He hides me in His secret place. No evil shall come to my dwelling; the Lord send forth His angels to protect me, my family, and our possessions.
I praise the Lord for His goodness, His mercy. The Lord is my advocate, He’s my breath and my strength. He’s my provider, protector, and healer. Every need I have, the Lord will supply!
Just like we speak negative words, begin to speak God’s Word over you. You face reality, but you must know that you know God will bring you out with victory. Know that nothing formed against you will not prosper!
