Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are – 1st Corinthians 3:16-17.
You are the temple of God, that’s if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. When one truly accepts Jesus, they will go under construction, and sometimes making living quarters for His residence, the individual will go through many changes that will hurt their soul bringing their flesh under subjection to the Word of God. When trouble comes, it doesn’t mean you have sinned against God. He allows trouble to come to cleanse His temple. When a building is being created, the builders lay a foundation, the foundation is what wholes the entire building. Your spiritual foundation should be the Word of God. The foundation can only be solid until the person has given up their will and submitted to the will of God and His Word (I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service – Romans 12:1). God will allow issues, circumstances, and difficulties to come into your life to bring you to the altar of prayer and fasting. Where God resides, the place has to be clean. Envy, jealousy, unforgiveness can’t reside there. As the people of God, He wants you to look at His plan, and His plan for you is found in His written Word.
Being God’s building, you will always be under construction because He’s making you more into His image. Don’t allow fear to keep you from what God is trying to do in your life. He will never reconstruct you for failure. It may not feel good, nor look good, but if you submit to His will, all things will work together for your good. God loves you with an everlasting love, but He doesn’t want you to continue in your mindset. He wants you to have the mind of Christ. Jesus Christ had the mind to submit to the Father and His will. He prayed and followed the Father’s instructions. When trouble comes and you know you have not sinned against God, then know it’s Him making more room for Him to have complete control of your life, so people will see and hear more of Him and not you.
God didn’t save you from the world’s actions to be a loner, He wants you, the building, He’s constructing to be a light to others, and to draw others to Him through you. Allow Him to remove and improve you for Himself. When He removes stuff that shouldn’t be there it may hurt and cause some discomfort; all you have to do is ask Him for strength, and to allow His peace to abide in you while He’s reconstructing you. God loves you, His thoughts toward you are not evil, He’s making you the building He can look at and be proud of.
