Baggage

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you – 1st Peter 5:7

We need to present all our worries, anxieties and problems to God in order to let Him handle them. Too many times we carry the burden rather than giving the burden to Him. Not only do we carry our burdens but we take on other people’s burdens. When we take on something we shouldn’t be carrying in the first place, it makes us anxious, frustrated, aggravated, fearful, and angry. When any of these emotions begin to manifest themselves we need to stop and think about what are we carrying. I’m not saying denying the problem, I’m saying don’t carry the problem like wearing a garment. Life will bring issues, problems, and difficulties, but when they come, and they will come, we need to pray and ask for instructions and directions. There is nothing in our lives that come as a surprise to a Sovereignty God, whether we believe in God or not it doesn’t take from who He is and what He’s capable of doing. (more…)

Unequally Yoked

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship (in common) hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness – 2nd Corinthians 6:14.

The caution itself, not to mingle with unbelievers, not to be unequally yoked with them was an inspired by God to the Apostle Paul. It is wrong for good people to join in affinity with the wicked and profane. There is more danger that the bad will damage the good than hope that the good will benefit the bad. We should not yoke ourselves in friendship with the wicked men and unbelievers. We should never choose them for our bosom-friends. Much less should we join in religious communion with them. (more…)
