Planting Seeds Into Soil

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper Psalm1:1-3.

At the end of spring, we usually start planting flowers seeds, grass seeds, and sometimes fruit and vegetable seeds for our garden. Although the seeds are tiny, they grow to be beautiful flowers, and the grass will be lush, and the fruit and vegetable seeds bring forth masses of fruit and vegetables.

Seeds must be planted in the soil to have flowers, fruit, and vegetables. Now, in order to receive the produce from these seeds, the ground or soil must be fertile. If it’s fertile, it will produce an abundant supply of whatever was planted.

Seeds have been planted in our lives since childhood and as an adult; we live out what was planted in our lives whether it was good or bad. If our parents didn’t express love towards us although they loved us, but couldn’t express it, we too, will do the same for our children.

If the importance of education is planted, the person will succeed in finishing high school, and college. Some even attend universities for higher studies because a seed was planted early in life. Because your child has some of your DNA they will flourish in some of the areas you planted. I say some because there are people whose parents did everything they could to train them to develop to be successful in life, but they went in a different direction. This means somewhere in life other seeds were planted that you didn’t plant.

This is why it is so important to know who your children are keeping company with, who are their running buddies, and their side kicks. When planting seeds it doesn’t take a lot to receive a harvest. Seeds germinate, and sometimes the sprouts grow deep in the soil, and it may take years before you see the manifestation of what was planted.

We all are seed planters and we need to be careful of what seeds we’re planting. Have you thought about when you say good morning to someone, that is a seed planted, and it flourishes, making someone else feel thought about? Then they spread the same seed to someone else.

When we smile at someone, that’s planting a seed, it takes more muscles to frown than to smile. When we speak well or not well about someone that’s planting a seed. We will reap the seeds we planted and the thing about seeds is you will always receive more than you planted.

Don’t allow people to plant seeds of gossip in your ear, seeds of dislike or offensives. When offensives have occurred and its told to someone else, they will carry the offense you have towards the person, now, you have planted the seed of offensive.

Seeds are being planted daily into our lives and the majority of the time we’re not aware they are being planted. What we listen to and look at plants seeds. The media sometimes plant seeds of hopelessness and fear. Various television programs plant words and actions that are against the laws of God and we accept them because they have been planted into our minds and spirit.

Spoken words are seeds, let’s be careful of the seeds we’re planting.
