Helping Women Build their Faith and Relationship with God

Landscape Of Cocora Valley

They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them – Psalm 104:8.

Valley experiences are usually experiences where God is leading us to a place He has prepared for us, the problem is when we don’t want to go of the way of the valley.

The valley is where most people don’t want to go, it’s considered a place of want and need, it’s a place where you’re trying to reach the mountain top or an exit. People don’t grow on the mountain tops where everything is going their way, it’s in the valley where we get to know the God we say we serve.

In the valley is when we see that we need God in order to get to the other side or get back on the mountain where there is joy and happiness. There are different levels of the Spirit just like there are different Fruit of the Spirit, different levels of success and in order for us to gain excess to either one of them, we will experience some time in the valley.

God has ordained destiny over our lives prior to our birth, and in order to reach our destination, we will go through hardships, disappointments, hurt, and pain. Sometimes we feel like we’re the only ones going through this, but in order to grow into maturity whether you’re a believer or non-believer, you will have some valley experiences. Everyone has valley experiences, it’s what you learn while you’re in the valley that will make you come out having wisdom, knowledge, tenacity, and faith.

While you’re in the valley, will you sit there and have pity on yourself? Will you murmur and grumble, point the finger at others because of what you’re going through? Or will you seek God for the reason you’re in the valley? Sin is not the cause why some people have valley experiences, in order for them to receive what God has for them, He has to place them in a position that once they receive their blessings they will continue to serve Him because they knew who brought them out.

In the valley is where we understand what is our true attributes and character. Whether we are strong or weak, do we have faith or not. All of us have some type of weakness, but this is where we seek the help of God in our weakness to give us strength.

Valley experiences give us diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, empathy, wisdom, and knowledge. Don’t think you’re in the valley because God does not love you, you’re there because He does love you, and He’s pulling out what needs to be pulled out of your heart and spirit and filling you with His attributes and character.

He’s preparing you to receive your blessings and keep yourself humble in heart and spirit. Sometimes we have ungodly pride when we have made accomplishments. There is nothing wrong with being proud of what you have accomplished, it becomes harmful to you when you think you did it by yourself without the help of God.

Whether you’re a believer or non-believer, it’s the love of God and the grace of God that assists us to have what we have and what we have accomplished. Sometimes the valley is a shortcut to get to the other side. Be thankful for your valley experience, you’re not thanking God for what you’re going through, you’re thanking God because He’s giving you the grace to go through what you’re going through to rise to the next level whether it’s in the natural or spiritual.
